Type: Revolver
Gauge: 32 RF

Finish: nickel
Grip: brass

Class: Antique
Description:

These revolvers were designed for close quarters combat and doubled as a brass knuckle that could be deployed if the five .32 rimfire rounds failed to stop an attack. Only an estimated 3,100 were manufactured in .32 caliber in the 1870s and early 1880s. This example has the standard factory engraving patterns, the My Friend and patent date marking on the left side of the top strap, and matching serial numbers.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 85% plus of the original nickel plating remains. Most of the loss is at the edges of the frame and on the cylinder. The latter also has some mild oxidation and pitting. The action functions fine, and the engraving and markings are clear.
