This exceptional Winchester Model 1895 carbine was manufactured in 1921. The carbine features the military style forearm with grasping grooves, military type handguard and military folding leaf rear sight. A staple-mounted saddle ring is located on the left side of the receiver. The carbine style buttplate has a sliding steel trapdoor. The barrel, barrel band, receiver, bolt, magazine, lever and buttplate have the Winchester commercial blue finish. The handguard, stock and forearm are straight grain American walnut with a military style oil finish. The top of the receiver is stamped with the Winchester oval "W/P" proofmark above the caliber designation "30/ARMY". The left side of the receiver is roll-stamped: "MANUFACTURED BY THE WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN. CONN." in a single line above the 1895-1907 patent dates. The upper receiver tang is roll-stamped: "MODEL 1895/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OfF & FGN." in three lines. The serial number "401444" is stamped across the lower tang behind the trigger. The Model 1895 Winchester rifles and carbines featured the non-detachable box magazine and were designed to high power smokeless cartridges.

Excellent plus. The carbine is all original, retains nearly 99% of the blue finish and appears to be un-fired. The stock and forearm are in the same, near new condition with a few light marks on the right side of the stock. This is an outstanding example of a late production Winchester Model 1895 Carbine in nearly new condition.
