Description:

The Monarch revolvers were manufactured in the late 19th century and feature eight shot .22 rimfire cylinders and .32 caliber rimfire single shot center barrels reminiscent of the famous LeMat revolvers but in a smaller and more modern package. The firing pins are hinged to allow barrel selection, and they utilize a top break action. A few specimens, such as this one, are marked "MONARCH" on the top strap/barrel latch. This exceptional example also has factory wavy line, arrow, floral, and geometric engraving patterns throughout and is fitted with checkered grips featuring an ornate embossed pattern at the top.

Rating Definition:

Fine. 75% of the original nickel plating remains. Most of the flaking is on the left side of the frame below the trigger. There is a gray patina on the exposed steel and some spots of minor oxidation. The grips are very fine and have crisp checkering and minor marks. The action needs work: the hammer is not locking up. The markings and engraving patterns are crisp.
