Description:

These unusual looking weapons were used in the Ottoman Empire in the 18th century and are said to have been fired by bracing the butt against the shooter's leg or knee when riding on horseback. Most were actually probably fired one handed like a standard pistol. The caliber above is estimated. The muzzle is 1 3/4 inches in diameter. The barrel and lock have inlaid designs, and the majority of the stock surfaces have silver wire and pin inlays.

Rating Definition:

Very good. Much of the gold and silver inlays are present, but some of the wire is loose. The barrel and lock have mild pitting and oxidation. The stock is also very good and has some scattered dings and marks. The lock functions fine.
