This revolver is marked "Flobert inventor Bte" on top of the barrel and has Liege proofs, an unclear hallmark on the left side of the barrel lug ahead of the wedge, and floral engraving on the barrel and frame. The grip has scroll and shell carving at the top and flutes on the body. The butt cap has a rod that unscrews from the center. The barrel is equipped with dovetailed blade and notch sights and a manually operated ejector on the right side. The basic design of the revolver is reminiscent of the Colt Model 1849 Pocket.

Very fine overall. The revolver retains 85% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish and has gray and brown patina on the balance. There is a group of scrapes behind the trigger guard. The grip has crisp carving, strong original finish, and some slight dings and scratches from handling and storage. The action functions fine, and the engraving and markings are clear.
