Introduced in 1910. Fixed sights, with the 2-line address/patent dates on the slide, Belgian proofs, and checkered "FN" grips. Included with the pistol is a brown leather shoulder holster marked "MADE IN MANILA/32", a pigskin belt pouch, one extra magazine and a small signed Japanese "meatball" pattern flag (10 inches by 14 inches). The holster appears to have been professionally resized to fit the 1910; it is possibly originally for a Colt 1903 Pocket Hammerless. While no documentation is included, it was standard procedure for Japanese officers to privately purchase their sidearms, with Browning designs from both Colt and FN being very popular, the holster may have been procured by such an officer during the occupation of the Philippines.

Fine, with 70% plus of the original blue finish, showing a few areas of gray patina concentrated on the slide, scattered spotting, a small amount of pitting concentrated on the bright high edges, and mild handling marks. The grips are very good, with some tiny age cracks in the left panel and light wear overall. The holster and pouch are both good, showing verdigris buildup and scuffs, and the flag is missing some material from the hoise end and showing mild staining. Mechanically excellent.
