A takedown variant of the Type 99 Arisaka designed to be carried disassembled by paratroopers when jumping and then put together on the ground. Blade front and folding rear sights with anti-aircraft wings, with an untouched mum on the receiver. Matching "950" assembly numbers are present on the takedown hardware, and matching partial serial numbers are on the bayonet lug, barrel locking lug, dust cover, bolt handle, extractor, safety knob and firing pin. Smooth pistol grip stock, with grasping grooves on the forearm and a steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing some bright wear around the muzzle and high edges, a rough texture to some of the hardware, areas of brown patina and mild spotting and handling marks overall. The refinished wood is very good as repaired, with some mended cracks around the mounting irons and some chips, dings and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
