Description:

This is a rare example of a "KOBRA" experimental/prototype semi-automatic pistol, serial number "1". The pistol has no maker's mark or proofmarks and is serial numbered "1" on the left upper edge of the trigger guard, the slide and breech end of the barrel. It is a blow-back operated pistol that has a fixed barrel with a perforated barrel jacket and an open top type slide, similar to the designs used on the small frame Beretta pistols. It has a finger formed front grip strap with a trapezoid type lower frame similar to the 1907 Savage pistols. It is fitted with a ring hammer and a lanyard loop on the lower edge of the rear grip strap. It has fixed sights with smooth walnut grip panels and is complete with its original magazine. The right side of the frame has been stamped with number "564989" (origin unknown).

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 90% plus of the original blue finish with edge and high spot wear with thinning on the grips straps. The grips are very fine with some minor handling marks/scratches on both sides.
