Patterned closely after the Model 98K, the Walther Sport Model was popular with sportsmen and paramilitary groups as a short-range training rifle. Blade front and tangent rear sights, with Weimar-era "crown" proofs on the barrel, bolt and receiver; the Walther banner over "THURINGEN" on the chamber and the DSM marking on the right side ahead of the bolt. Smooth pistol grip stock with a brown leather sling and a smooth steel buttplate.

Excellent, with 95% plus of the original blue finish, with some mild spotting and handling marks. The stock is very fine, with some mild dents, and a 1938 dated Reichsmark coin has been added to the sling buckle. Mechanically excellent.
