Description:

This is an outstanding example of a pre-war commercial contract rifle manufactured by DWM for the country of Brazil. The top of the receiver has the large "Brazilian crest", and the left side has the distinctive "B" prefix serial number with the circled "B" proofmark. The receiver side wall has the two-line markings; "DEUSTCHE WAFFEN-UND MUNITIONSFABRIKEN BERLIN", and the right side of the receiver is marked "MOD 1908". The receiver and complete bolt are correctly polished and left in the "white", and some of the smaller parts are correctly heat blued. The trigger guard, floor plate, and barrel bands are correct early milled style, and the barrel bands are the early "H" pattern front and narrow rear band. The stock and handguard are both walnut and have a nice matching brown color and are correctly proofed and numbered on the lower stock and pistol grip area. The right side of the stock has the correct proofed stock disc, and directly below that it has the six-pointed star with a circle "B" proof in the center. It has the military style tangent rear sight and is complete with the original cleaning rod and muzzle cover.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% plus of the original pre-war blued finish overall with just some minor blue loss on the front barrel band. The receiver and bolt assembly still retain their original "in the white" factory polish. The stock and handguard are both in excellent condition with their original factory oil finish and only minor light handling marks on the underside of the butt and forend. It has all matching numbers.
