Originally introduced in 1865, the 65/97 was overhauled from a pinfire revolver to centerfire, remaining in service with the Danish Navy through the end of WWI. Blade and notch sights, with the top of the barrel marked "KRONBORG GEVAERFABRIK", "M-1865" on the right side of the frame and "Tr.A./25." (struck out) and "2.A.B.48." on the left side. The serial number is present on multiple components. The cylinder is configured to accept both centerfire and pinfire cartridges, with a centerfire hammer currently installed and a swiveling hammer block safety on the recoil shield opposite the loading gate. Fitted with a sling swivel behind the hammer and a checkered one-piece grip.

Rating Definition:

Very good as arsenal converted, with 60% of the original blue finish, showing areas of gray patina, brown spotting and scattered dings and dents. The grips are good, with some scuffs and dings. The cylinder pin retention spring is absent, but otherwise, the revolver is mechanically very good.
