Manufactured in 1939, this pistol is part of a very rare 200-piece contract run for the government of Persia integrating a number of uncommon features. In addition to the larger caliber, the standard side markings have been moved to the right side, making room for a Persian crest flanked by Farsi markings on the left, with the number "6911" vertically on the left side of the frame opposite the serial number, and a butt-mounted ambidextrous magazine catch, with a Walther 9mm magazine properly uncut for a conventional button catch. The "crown/N" proofs are concealed inside the slide and on the left side of the chamber hood and barrel, with the numbers "880" and "169287" hand marked inside the slide. Fitted with a 60 degree safety, ring hammer, and checkered Walther banner grips, and grouped with a black leather Albrecht Kind flap holster.

Very good, with 85% of the refinished blue finish. The underside of the slide shows some shallow pitting, with some mild edge wear, a mixed brown and gray patina on the grip straps, and scattered handling marks. The grips are very good, with a few light scuffs. The holster is good, with some light scuffs and cracks. The firing pin is stuck, otherwise mechanically functions fine.
