This is an excellent WWII German S/42 Mauser Luger dated 1939. This was the standard WWII German Luger issued to all military forces. The chamber is dated "1939," and the front toggle has the secret wartime code of "S/42" for the Mauser factory. The barrel extension has the standard "eagle/63" acceptance proofs along with the single droop wing eagle firing proofs which is also on the right side of the barrel and left side of the breechblock. It is correctly marked on the upper safety area and extractor "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. It is fitted with a set of matching checkered walnut grips, each one numbered "96" on the back side. As noted, this Luger comes with two blued magazines both with aluminum bases that are marked: "7396/p/Eagle 63" and "7396/p/+/Eagle 63". It has a black leather holster that is stamped: "G. PASSIER & SONS/HANNOVER/1939" and a WWII takedown tool.

Very fine with 97% of the professionally restored blue finish overall. The grips are in excellent condition with nice distinct checkering on both sides. Mechanically excellent. The holster is very good with nice dark black finish overall with tight stitching and clear sharp markings.
