Description:

Overall the helmet is finished in dull green paint, with the black and silver shield decal of the Schuetzstaffel on the left side just below the stamped vent. The interior is finished in the same shade, with the lot and maker's marks faint, a black leather chinstrap and brown leather webbing., The inside of the skirt is hand painted "Jos. Bach N.-St(illegible)". Bach has not been identified at this time.

Rating Definition:

Very good, with rubbing and scuffing appropriate to age, with areas of exposed steel showing a brown patina, including wear on the interior. The leather is very good, with some scuffing and minor tears.
