Blade front and tangent rear sights with fine adjustment screws, "1916" date on the chamber and "DWM" monogram on the toggle link. Three "Crown/Letter" proofs are present on the right side of the barrel extension, with Imperial Eagle firing proofs on the extension, barrel and breechblock. External numbers match, with the proper "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" markings on the upper safety position and extractor respectively. Fitted with a set of straw finished small parts, niter blue pins and springs, checkered grips and a nickel finished magazine with matching numbered hardwood base. Included with the pistol are four modern magazines (dull blue finish with black plastic bases), an early 2nd model Bing Brothers drum magazine (numbered "87189" on both sides, smooth top, single rib on bottom, folding arm and metal lip protector) and a brown leather/hardwood construction stock holster with a shoulder strap and iron numbered to another pistol, with the back of the board stamped "100.R.7.26", suggesting issue to the 100th (1st Royal Saxon) Life Grenadiers Regiment, a component of the XII (1st Royal Saxon) Corps in WWI.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 75% of the faded original blue finish, showing some bright edge wear, light spotting with some pitting on the bright spots, and mild handling marks. The straw components retain 40% of the original color, with a mixed gray patina on the remainder. The grips are fine, with some dings and spots of verdigris. The holster and stock are very good, with some cracking of the straps and flap, mild verdigris, and scattered scuffs. The snail drum is fine with 70% original blue and a strong spring. Mechanically excellent.
