Manufactured in 1935, shortly before Nazi Germany abandoned the "code letter" system of weapons dating, as one of approximately 4,100 Lugers produced by Krieghoff for the Luftwaffe. Fixed sights, with "S" on the chamber and the "C-1" pattern die stamped "H(anchor)K/KRIEGHOFF/SUHL" marking on the front toggle link. A series of "eagle/L/2" stamps are present on the barrel, barrel extension, right side rail, breechblock and a number of internal parts, and "droop wing eagle" proofs are on the barrel, extension and breechblock. Fitted with straw finished small parts, a checkered pair of grips, and two replacement nickel finished alloy base magazines.

Fine with 50% plus of the original blue, showing bright wear along the high edges, a mixed gray and brown patina on the grip straps and the sides of the frame and muzzle, scattered light dings and mild spotting. The replacement grips are fair with some flat spots and dings. Mechanically excellent.
