This is a very fine example of a scarce 1937 dated Mauser Banner Commercial Contract Luger Pistol chambered in the rare 7.65 Luger cartridge. Fixed sights, a "1937" dated chamber, "banner" marked front toggle link, and a series of "crown/crown/U" commercial proofs on the front sight base, extension and breechblock. Serial numbering is military-style, externally matching including the magazine base, with "GELADEN" extractor, "GESICHERT" upper safety position, straw finished small parts and checkered grips.

Very fine with 80% of the original blue showing areas of brown patina on the grip straps, scattered scratches and handling marks, mild edge wear and scattered spotting. The front sight has been replaced with a thicker blade, and the rear sight has been filed and squared off to match. 70% of the straw colors are present on the small parts, especially the trigger and takedown latch. The grips are good, slightly undersized replacements with some dings and chips. Mechanically excellent.
