This is a mid-WWII Luger pistol as produced by the Mauser factory in 1941 with the late war "42" coded toggle assembly used by the Mauser factory. The barrel extension is marked with the double "eagle/655" proofs followed by a single eagle firing proof, which is also stamped on the side of the barrel and breechblock. The left rear side of the frame has the late production "P.08" marking. It has the standard serial number placement with the full serial number (1920) on the frame, barrel extension and barrel and the last two digits (20) on the various smaller parts. It has the standard fixed front and rear sights and standard "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" markings. It has an all blue metal finish and checkered walnut grips. It is complete with two "fxo/37" marked blued magazines with unmarked black plastic bases and a brown leather holster. The holster comes with a late "Eagle/655" proofed tool and is marked on the back with "cdg/40" and an "Eagle/WaA101" proof. There is Police Eagle tunic pin attached to the front of the holster.

Very fine with 95% of the original blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with blue loss on the grip straps, side plate, muzzle, and frame rails. The side plate has a small spot of pitting on the lower edge of the hump. The grips are in excellent condition with fine checkering on both sides and the tops of the checkering on the left side showing wear. The holster is in good condition with clear markings and tight stitching and has been redyed/polished brown overall.
