Manufactured in 1943. Fixed sights, the left side of the slide marked with the intertwined "USS" company logo and "U.S. & S. CO./SWISSVALE, PA. U.S.A." LTC Robert Downie's "RCD" proof is on the left side of the frame, a thin checkered hammer, stamped trigger, checkered slide catch and thumb safety, arched mainspring housing, Keyes-Fiber grips, replacement Colt commercial magazine, and a High Standard barrel.

Very fine, with 90% of the dark refurbished dulite finish overall, showing some bright cycling and high edge wear, a few areas of brown patina and light handling marks overall. A pair of small dimples are visible on the left side of the slide near the muzzle, possibly from hardness testing. Grips are also very fine with some light dings and rounding of the points. Mechanically excellent.
