Manufactured in 1945 as a riot gun and rebuilt into trench gun configuration. Single steel bead sight on the replacement six-hole heat shield/bayonet adaptor, 2 3/4 inch chamber, and a cylinder choke. The top of the barrel is marked with the U.S. (flaming bomb) proof followed by the Winchester oval "WP" proof at the breech. The right side of the receiver is marked with the "U.S. flaming bomb" roll mark. Full parkerized finish with the correct model marking on the barrel and matching serial numbers on the receiver and barrel collar. Mounted with an 18-groove round slide handle and smooth pistol grip stock with a checkered hard rubber buttplate marked "BISHOP". The left side of the stock has a large "TE" indicating post-war rebuild/refurbishment at Tooelie Army Depot. Includes a "W" marked Model 1917 bayonet with a leather and steel sheath, and a wood dowel cleaning rod.

Very good as arsenal upgraded/refurbished (see above). 85% plus parkerized finish remains with some areas of visible thinning, light spotting, small scattered dings, and handling marks. The wood is very good with some small pressure indentations, handling marks and replacement buttplate. Mechanically excellent.
