Description:

Manufactured in 1915. Blade front and flat top rear sights with the three-line Colt patent block, "SPRINGFIELD ARMORY/U.S.A." and the flaming ordnance grenade proof on the left side of the slide and the Springfield American Eagle and "MODEL OF 1911.U.S.ARMY." in sans-serif letters on the right. The grenade proof is repeated by the magazine catch with "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on the left side of the dust cover. It is fitted with a long smooth trigger, knurled wide hammer, checkered slide stop and thumb safety, short grip safety, smooth flat mainspring housing with lanyard staple, a pair of checkered grips with screw flats, a replacement two-tone pinned lanyard base magazine and a "P/H" marked barrel.

Rating Definition:

Fine, with 80% of the original blue finish, showing bright edge wear, areas of brown patina and spotting, and mild handling marks overall. The grips are very good, with some turn marks on the screws and mild dents. Mechanically excellent.
