Description:

Manufactured in 1918. Blade front and flat top notch rear sights, with the two-line, two-block address and patent dates divided by the Rampant Colt on the left side of the slide, and "MODEL OF 1911. U.S.ARMY" on the right. The left side of the frame is marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "JMG", and the chamber of the barrel is marked "P/H", with a wide knurled hammer, short grip safety, flat mainspring housing with lanyard staple, long smooth trigger, checkered slide catch and thumb safety, checkered grips with diamond flats, and an unmarked two-tone magazine.

Rating Definition:

Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing areas of brown patina on the slide and grip straps, bright wear on the edges and chamber hood, and scattered mild spotting and handling marks. The grips are fine with a large indentation visible on the lower right panel, some mild dings. Mechanically excellent.
