This rifle was manufactured in 1951. The action was later used by John Bollinger to create this attractive safari rifle. This rifle features a hooded brass beaded blade front sight and a one leaf flip up "V" notch express style sight on a raised quarter rib. The top of the receiver is fitted with scope bases and is equipped with Talley scope rings. The left side of the barrel is marked with the caliber "Four Sixteen/TAYLOR", and the right side is engraved "John Bolliger/RIFLEMAKER". The bolt handle is checkered, and the bolt body and follower are jeweled. Mounted on multi-point checkered walnut pistol grip stock with a smooth steel grip cap, sling swivel stud, and a solid rubber Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad.

Excellent as custom built. The rifle retains 99% of the blue finish with some slight scattered scratches. The markings are crisp and clear. The stock is excellent with crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent.
