PARKER SPEC STEEL", 2 9/16 inch chambers with extractor, choked improved modified/full. The box lock action is scroll engraved with "PARKER BROS" and game bird scenes of partridge on the right, ducks on the left side, and a pheasants on the underside. The engravings also extend to the trigger guard, recoil shields, break lever, and forearm hardware. The water table is marked with the patent dates and "GH/235908/2". Double triggers and tang safety. Mounted on a checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with factory hard rubber grip cap, blank initial shield and a Parker Brothers "dog head" hard rubber buttplate. Very good. 95% original blue finish remains on the barrels with clear markings, light handling marks, and some small scattered dings. The receiver has about 50% of the original muted case colors and a smooth gray patina on the balance, small handling marks, sharp engraving, and a mottled brown patina on the trigger guard and lower tang. The wood is very good with well defined, slightly worn checkering, scattered small pressure indentations, and rich color. Mechanically excellent.
