Manufactured in 1928. Dual bead sights on the concave matte rib marked "PARKER BROTHERS. MAKERS. MERIDEN. CT. VULCAN STEEL" with 2 9/16 inch chambers, single extractor, and improved modified/full chokes. The casehardened receiver is inscribed "PARKER BROS." on the right and left sides with zig-zag border engraving, standard one-line patent marking on the right side of the water table, and "VH/224912/V" on the left. Fitted with dual triggers and automatic thumb safety. Mounted on a multi-point checkered splinter forearm and pistol grip stock with a hard rubber grip cap and checkered Parker Brothers "dogs head" hard rubber buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .736/.729 inches; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .042/.045 inches; drop at comb 1 3/4 inches; drop at heel 2 3/4 inches; length of pull 14 1/4 inches.

Very good. 90% original blue finish remains on the barrels with a small cold blue touch up on the right muzzle, traces of light pitting, handling marks, light edge sear, and small surface scratches. The frame has 45% of the muted original case colors with the balance a smooth silver/gray patina with traces of light spotting, edge wear, and handling marks. The wood is very good with well defined checkering, small pressure indentations throughout, light surface scratches, and tight metal to wood fit. Mechanically excellent.
