Description:

Manufactured in 1886 and features the highly desirable flat top frame, blade front sight, tang peep sight and filler block in the rear sight dovetail slot. The number 3 barrel is marked with the two line address and "CAL 32-40." The lower tang is marked with the patent date and serial number. Mounted with a smooth Schnabel forearm with ebony insert and a straight grip stock with crescent buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Very good. The barrel has a mottled brown patina mixed with remnants of original blue finish. The action retains flashes of original case colors. The wood is fine with a 1 1/4 inch crack on the front of the comb and some minor pressure dents and scratches overall. Mechanically excellent.
