This is an exceptional early Colt Ace that was manufactured in 1931. The trigger guard is marked "P/ VP" on the left and "38" on the right. Checkered trigger, wide hammer, and arched mainspring housing, with a long grip safety, and smooth mother of pearl grips. Includes a maroon Colt box numbered to the gun with instruction papers.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. 98% original blue finish remains with some light handling marks, small traces of edge wear, and scattered pin point spotting on the right forward frame. The grips are very fine non-factory replacements with minimal handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is poor with a separated lid, partially separated floor, and general handling and storage wear.
