Manufactured in 1907 this is one of the approximately 6,100 Model 1905 semi-automatic pistols manufactured by Colt and was Colt's first automatic chambered for .45 ACP ammunition. The slide has the two line caliber marking stamped ahead of the ejection port on the right side and the left side has the two-block, two-line patent dates (1897-1905)/Hartford address marking with a circled Rampant Colt behind the serrations. The left side of the trigger guard is stamped with a Colt factory triangle proof and the number "6". Casehardened round spur hammer, checkered grips with diamond pattern around the screws and all blue unmarked magazine. Includes a "U.S." marked black leather holster with suspension hooks. The holster is marked "BOLEN LEA. PROD/7791466" on the back.

Fine. The pistol retains 30% original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. The grips are very good plus with a chip missing from the left panel and overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. The holster is fine with the U.S. Marking slightly faint, tight stitching, handling marks, and a few small scuffs.
