This rifle was manufactured in 1917 and has standard Winchester markings, a globe front sight, adjustable notch and folding ladder rear sight, sling swivels on the barrel band and buttstock, a nearly full length military style forearm with grasping grooves, and a straight wrist stock with carbine style buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The barrel retains 95% plus of the original blue finish, and the forend cap and barrel band also retain significant original finish. The blue on the receiver has flaked, with 40% remaining, especially on the upper areas. The breechblock displays most of the strong, fiery case colors. The buttplate displays a dark gray-brown patina. The wood is also very good and displays only a few minor scrapes and small pressure marks. Mechanically excellent and the markings are crisp.
