This revolver dates to 1958 and has unusual knurling bands on the barrel at the muzzle and at the ejector rod head. The ejector head and rear edge of the cylinder also have knurling. The cylinder also has three stars between each chamber. Three stars are also on each side of the recoil shield along with a patriotic striped shield. The standard markings remain visible including matching serial numbers on the frame and front strap and matching assembly numbers on the frame and loading gate. The grip is cast silver and has Mexican/Southwest style floral engraving patterns, a raised relief "EB" monogram in gold, and a U.S. national crest on the butt with raised eagle fitted with pink ruby style eyes. The grip, especially the butt, is clearly styled after the "Tiffany" grips found on a select few finely engraved antique Colt firearms including the L.D. Nimschke and Gustave Young engraved Model 1862 Police revolvers on page 271 and 272 of "Steel Canvas: The Art of American Arms" by R. L. Wilson. It comes with a French fitted briefcase style case with gold inscription panel on the lid, bronze Rampant Colt medallions on the interior, spots for six cartridges (two spent casings in place), and a Frontier Scout manual.

Very good as customized. The revolver retains 98% of the nickel plating. There are a few spots of minor flaking, handling and storage marks, and some light spotting. The grip is very fine and has some minor dings at the edges, attractive aged patina, and crisp designs. The action functions excellently. The case is very good with moderate storage type wear including staining.
