Manufactured in 1976 in Germany and imported by Interarms, this P-38 shows 80% plus coverage of fine engraving, mainly in a traditional German oak leaf pattern with punch dot backgrounds, as well as scroll accents and panels of diamond/checkerboard patterns. Aside from the red and white filler on the safety positions and sights, the bright bore, and a few of the internals, the finish is entirely gold, including both magazines, with a pair of ribbed wrap-around hardwood grips. Included with the pistol is a blue leatherette case with red felt inner lining and the "WALTHER" on the lid.

Near new in case, showing a few minor handling marks overall. The grips are in equal condition. The case exterior shows a few light scuffs, and the interior shows some wear and stains. The slide catch needs some adjustment, otherwise mechanically excellent.
