Description:

Manufactured in 1917. Blade front sight, filler block in the sight dovetail slot positioned near the two line address/patent dates marking and windage adjustable ladder rear sight. The Winchester factory proof is correctly stamped ahead of the ladder sight and on top of the receiver. The left side of the barrel at the breech is marked "22 LONG R." The upper tang is marked with the three line patent date/trademark information. Mounted with a smooth full length forearm and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate and sling swivels.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The musket retains 60% plus original blue finish with the balance a smooth brown patina. The lever retains flashes of original case colors. The wood is very fine with a thumb print sized pressure dent on the comb and some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
