A) Smith & Wesson No. 1 1/2 Old Model Spur Trigger Revolver

Description:

This model was manufactured from 1865 to 1868. It has the standard markings and features, including matching serial numbers (grips and butt) and assembly numbers (grip frame and barrel).

Rating Definition:

Fine. 40% of the thinning original blue finish remains on the frame, and the balance displays mostly smooth brown patina. There is some light pitting most notably on the cylinder. The grips are very good and have mild handling and storage wear. The action functions fine, and the markings are clear.

Description:

117,000 Second Issue No. 1 revolvers were manufactured in 1860 to 1868 and were very popular for self defense. This example has the standard markings and features.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. 95% plus of the original silver plating remains. It and the small areas of exposed brass have an aged patina. The cylinder, barrel, and rod retain 50% of the original blue and have brown patina and light oxidation on the balance. The trigger retains faint original case colors. The grips are fine and have some flakes in the varnish around the screw and mild handling wear. The action functions fine.
