The factory letter indicates this revolver and one other with .44-40 chambered 5 1/2 inch barrels and nickel plating were shipped to Dunlay & Geisler in Houston, Texas, on March 14, 1892. It has a blade front sight, top strap groove rear sight, "COLT FRONTIER SIX SHOOTER" on the left side of the barrel, the one-line address on top, the Rampant Colt on the left side of the frame and both grips, matching serial numbers (partial on cylinder), "114" on the loading gate, checkered grips, and a lanyard loop on the bottom of the bird's head grip frame. Also included is an old Flayderman description/listing for the revolver and a double loop holster with floral tooling and "VL&A/Chicago" maker's stamp.

Very good. The barrel retains 60% of the original nickel finish and 30% plus of the original nickel finish remains on the frame and cylinder. There is patchy light pitting and flaking throughout. The grips are very good and have mostly distinct checkering with some mild handling wear. The action functions fine and the markings are clear. The attractive holster is very fine with only mild rub wear from use and storage.
