Manufactured in 1903. This rifle features a beaded blade front sight and the standard elevation adjustable 1901 patent date rear sight. The barrel has the Third Style markings on the top flat and is absent of the Winchester factory oval proofs. The receiver also does not have a proofmark as is correct for these early rifles. The matching serial number is stamped on the bottom tang and the top tang has the second model Winchester Model 1890 legend. Equipped with a niter blue trigger, casehardened hammer and buttplate. Mounted on a 12-groove round walnut forearm and straight grip stock with crescent steel buttplate.

Very fine overall. The rifle retains 85% of the original blue finish with scattered minor scratches and brown speckling, edge wear on top of the receiver, and cycling wear. The markings are clear. The trigger has vivid niter blue with brown speckling. The hammer and buttplate have vivid case colors. The wood is also very fine with scattered scratches, dings, and pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
