Manufactured in 1955. Fitted with a hooded ramp front sight, folding two leaf rear sight and Lyman Alaskan scope with leather lens caps. Standard Winchester markings including the factory proof on the receiver and barrel at the breech and "-SUPER GRADE-" on the floor plate. Straight receiver tang, late safety, polished bolt numbered to gun and quick release sling swivels with leather sling. The highly figured and multi-point checkered high comb pistol grip stock has a cheekpiece, ebony forend tip, hard rubber Winchester grip cap and solid Winchester recoil pad. Excellent. The rifle retains 98% plus original blue finish showing limited light handling marks. The strap on the lens cover is broken. The scope has excellent optics. The wood is also excellent with a minor scuff mark on the buttstock (right side) and some minor handling marks. The checkering is crisp overall. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: Robert M.
