Receiver features detailed game scene engraving on the sides and bottom with a dog stalking a pair of birds on the right, a standing stag on the bottom, and two dogs wrestling a stag to the ground on the left, all surrounded with delicate floral scroll. Greener style side safety, dual triggers, and tang mounted selector for the rifle barrel. Multi-point checkered pistol grip stock with a scalloped horn grip cap and serrated horn buttplate. Barrel and stock measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .719/.718 inches; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .056 inches; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 1/4 inches; length of pull 14 1/2 inches.

Very good as partially refinished (barrels). The barrels have 85% of the blue finish with areas of mild pitting visible under the blue, handling marks, and a few small dings along the rib. The receiver has aged to a mostly gray patina with faint traces of case colors, fine engraving, and handling marks. The wood is very good with well defined checkering, small indentations, and handling marks throughout. Mechanically excellent.
