Manufactured by Colt as a 9mm semi-automatic carbine, this arm was later converted by C-Ray Systems of Angleton, Texas, into a submachine gun capable of semi-automatic and full-automatic fire and registered with the BATFE prior to the 1986 cutoff. The original sear block was cleanly machined out to make room for the needed components, and the appropriate "SAFE/FIRE/AUTO" markings have been added to the selector area. Adjustable pin front and two-leaf windage adjustable rear sights, with a birdcage flash hider on the unmarked barrel, a bayonet lug on the gas assembly, and an early pattern slab-sided lower receiver and upper with a short brass deflector and no forward assist. Fitted with a ribbed round handguard, Lone Star Ordnance checkered pistol grip with compartment, and a two-position telescoping buttstock. One Colt magazine (restricted/LEM marked) is included.

Excellent overall, with 95% of the phosphate finish, showing some light scratches and handling marks overall, with a few spots of black touch-up applied to the buffer tube nut. The forearm shows some tiny edge chips and light scuffs, with a spot of white paint on the front right side and some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. NOTE: This weapon is a National Firearms Act (NFA), Class 3, which is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, (BATF) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
