Imported in the late 60s and early 70s, the G Series FAL was first approved for import by the ATF, then declared a machine gun by the ATF, and finally banned from import, with the ones already in the country being given a pass. Post front and military tangent peep sights, with a long flash hider/bayonet lug that also serves as the mounting point for an Energa-style grenade launcher (included), and an adjustable gas port with grenade setting. The upper receiver bears the one line Herstal address and "F.A.L. cal.308". The serial number is on the underside ahead of the magazine well. The lower receiver is marked "S/ R/ A", with a pin inserted to lock out the "A" spot, and the dust cover is a later reinforced model fitted with a see-through scope base and a Hensoldt-Wetzlar fixed-power scope. Fitted with a triangular forearm, matching pistol grip numbered to match the rifle, and a wood buttstock with a metal buttplate. The rifle includes two magazines, an FN manual for a full-auto FAL that was re-labeled and annotated for the semi-automatic commercial version of the rifle, and a photocopy of the Internal Revenue Service/ATF memo listing the approved G Series serial numbers.

Excellent, with 90% plus original black finish, showing some light handling marks and edge wear overall, with a few hints of rust in and around the magazine well and flash hider. The furniture is in equal condition. The scope is crisp, though showing some internal spotting, and the covers are cracked, damaged and dried out. The hold-open needs some adjustment, otherwise mechanically very good.
