Introduced in 1996 this was intended to be Colt's long range premier AR15 varmint rifle, as it was fitted with an extra long (24 inch) heavy HBAR- type stainless steel match barrel. It is marked on top of the barrel, "MP 5.56 NATO 1/9 HBAR ELITE" with a flat top upper receiver (without the carrying handle and rear sight). Mounted with an unmarked 20x42 scope. The receiver has the standard Colt factory markings on the left side of the magazine well and is fitted with a match grade trigger group. The handguard is all aluminum free-floating version with a Harris folding bipod and stud. Fitted with a standard checkered pistol grip and standard straight synthetic stock with butt trap. Includes extra magazine, sling, and manual.

Excellent with 99% original finish and minimal light handling marks throughout. The grip and stock are excellent. Mechanically excellent.
