Manufactured in 1956. The included factory letter confirms the serial number, caliber, barrel length, and Royal Blue finish. It further notes the type of stocks as "not listed" and that it shipped from Colt on July 25, 1956, to Albion Knitting Company Ltd. of Petersborough, Ontario, Canada, as part of a six gun shipment. Pinned serrated ramp blade front and fully adjustable rear notch sights, standard barrel legend, matte finished barrel and frame top, wide borderless checkered hammer, serrated back strap, and a 7 groove serrated back strap. Matching serial numbers are on the frame and yoke. The ejector rod shroud is correctly counter bored, a trait found only on early Python models. Fitted with checkered grips with inset gold Colt medallions. Includes a hinged Colt leatherette box with a tool and papers. The revolver is consecutively serial numbered to another Colt Python in this auction.

Excellent. 95% plus original blue finish remains with some light muzzle wear, small handling marks, and thinning to a light gray patina on the back strap. The grips are also excellent with sharp checkering and small handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The box is good with corner and edge wear, weakening of the hinge, and some peeling of the leatherette covering.
