The included factory letter confirms the serial number, nickel finish, barrel length and shipment to Oshman's Sporting Goods of Houston, Texas, on December 10, 1981, as part of a 10 gun shipment. The letter does not list the type of grips. Standard barrel and frame markings with a pinned ramp blade front and fully adjustable rear notch sights, wide borderless checkered hammer, serrated trigger and cylinder catch, and a serrated back strap. Fitted with checkered grips with inset gold Colt medallions. Includes a Colt "wood grain" box numbered to the gun.

Excellent. 90% plus original nickel finish remains with handling marks, some darkening of the cylinder face, and frosting on the back strap. The grips are also excellent with sharp checkering, and some small dings around the butt edges. Mechanically excellent. The box is very good with some corner and edge wear.
