Manufactured in 1916 this is a deluxe version of the Winchester Model 1894 lever action rifle with a round barrel equipped with a Lyman beaded blade front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight and full length magazine. The barrel has the two-line address/patent date marking ahead of the rear sight followed by the two-line nickel steel marking and "30 W.C.F." The Winchester factory oval proof is present on top of the barrel and receiver at the breech. The upper tang has the three-line model/trademark information. Mounted with a highly figured checkered walnut forearm and pistol grip stock fitted with an iron forend cap, factory hard rubber grip cap and crescent buttplate.

Fine. The rifle retains 60% original blue finish with a spotted, smooth brown patina on the balance. There are a few patches of mild pitting. The wood is fine with a nick on the top forward comb, a series of scratches on the forearm (right side) and a number of minor scratches and pressure dents overall. There are a few blemishes in the overall crisp checkering. Mechanically excellent. Provenance: Robert M. Lee Collection.
