Manufactured circa middle to late 1930s. Nice floral scroll factory engraving on the sides of the receiver and has additional engraving accents on the barrel at the breech and the top of the action. The top of the barrel ahead of the rear sight is marked with the two line address, "HI-PRESSURE STEEL-PROOF TESTED" is on the right rear next to the rear sight, and ".300 SAVAGE" on the left at the breech. Ramped beaded blade front and folding single leaf rear sights and a short range Lyman peep sight mounted on the receiver tang. Blue finish with casehardened lever and mounted with a nicely figured multi-point checkered walnut forearm with Schnabel forend and pistol grip stock with checkered flats and wrist, horn grip cap and Pachmayr White-Line vented recoil pad.

Fine as refurbished with 90% plus slightly faded original blue finish remaining, showing some thinning and minor scratches on the underside of the receiver, some edge wear and a small area on top of the barrel behind the rear sight. 90% bright case colors remain on the lever with some fading to gray. The refinished wood shows only light handling marks and crisp recut checkering on the forearm. Other than the second "0" in the caliber marking, the markings are clear. The action is excellent.
