This rifle comes with a framed description that notes this rifle is one of the early 30 W.C.F. Model 1894s "made during its introductory period of August, 1895. This rifle represents the beginning of an epoch. At the time of its introductions, Winchester had no way of knowing that production of the 30-30 would ultimately pass 3-1/2 million units with no end in sight." The rifle's serial number dates to 1895, and the rifle has the standard markings and features including "30 W.C.F." at the breech.

Very good plus. There are remnants of original blue finish in the protected areas of the barrel and magazine tube and otherwise gray and brown patina overall and some light pitting and oxidation. The wood is also very good and has various minor scrapes and small dents. The action functions fine, and the markings are crisp.
