Manufactured in 1903. The left rear of the barrel is marked with the two-line nickel steel, smokeless powder marking. "30 U.S." is on top at the breech. The two-line address/patent dates are marked on the upper left side of the receiver. "WINCHESTER/MODEL 1895" is on the upper tang. It has pinned beaded blade front and adjustable sporting rear sights and is mounted with a smooth walnut forearm with ebony insert Schnabel tip and straight grip stock with a smooth crescent buttplate.

Very good. The rifle retains 40% plus original blue finish with some muzzle and high point wear, thinning on the top breech end of the barrel and areas of smooth gray patina on the receiver, magazine and lever. The buttplate has a smooth mottled gray patina. The wood is also very good with several small notches on the upper right rear edge of the forearm and some minor dents and scuffs. The undersize stock and forearm have been lightly sanded and refinished and shows only light handling marks. The markings are crisp and clear. The action is excellent.
