Manufactured in 1885. The top of the barrel is marked with the two line address, the left side has the etched panel "NEW POLICE 38" and the serial number is marked on the butt. The left side of the frame above the trigger is marked with the letter "A". Blue finish with niter blue hammer and trigger, (polished hammer sides), blade front and frame notch rear sights, "bullseye" ejector rod head and fitted with smooth pearl grips with the inscription "H.A.L. to W.H.W./Xmas/1892" on the left panel. A copy of an undated sales receipt for this revolver from The Antique Armory, Inc. with unknown shipping destination is included.

Excellent. The revolver retains 90% plus bright original blue finish with some muzzle and high point wear, and some mild flaking and pin prick type pitting on the cylinder. Almost all of the bright original niter blue remains on the hammer and trigger. The grips are very fine with clear inscription (once had enamel paint which is absent) and only light handling marks. The etched panel is clear. The markings are sharp and clear. The action is excellent.
