Description:

Only 16,402 Single Action Army revolvers left the factory chambered for .41 Colt ammunition compared to 150,683 First Generation revolvers in .45 Colt. Both cartridges were well-performing man stoppers. This revolver was manufactured in 1891 with the original "black powder" frame design. It is marked with the two-line address on top of the barrel, has "41 COLT" on the left side, standard sights, the oval ejector button, standard two-line patent markings followed by the circled Rampant Colt trademark on the left side of the frame, matching serial numbers, and the correct Rampant Colt and American eagle emblem grips used in the early 1890s.

Rating Definition:

Very good with 25% of the original blue finish on the barrel, patches of original finish and vivid case colors in the protected areas and hammer, and mixed gray and brown patina on most of the faded surfaces. The slightly oversize replacement grips are also very good and have aged to dark brown with light smoothing of the checkering, a chip on the left toe, a few smaller chips, and scattered minor marks. Mechanically fine.
