The top barrel flat is signed "E. LeFaucheux Bte a Paris." The barrel is the spine to the 6 1/2 inch blade. The barrel lug is also the ricasso. The barrel lug is marked "3726" on the right side and "DUMONTHIER/B.S.C.D.C./259" on the left side. The folding trigger has a LeFaucheux marking. A floral engraved pattern is featured on the frame, cylinder, barrel breech, barrel lug, butt and back strap. The leather bound wooden sheath has a metal throat and tip. The revolver was probably manufactured in the early-mid 1860s.

Very good. The revolver has a smooth dark patina. The fine blade has a mottled brown-gray patina. The grips are good with a series of pressure dents on the bottoms and a few minor scratches. The action does not function but has a strong hammer spring. The sheath is good with a section of missing leather and a smooth dark patina on the throat and tip.
