Introduced in 1913, the Mark I was designed with an eye for military sales, firing a semi-rimmed variant of the British 455 service cartridge. Fixed Patridge blade front and windage adjustable rear sights, with Birmingham proofs on top of the barrel and slide and the Webley "winged bullet" logo on the left side of the slide ahead of "WEBLEY & SCOTT Ltd/PISTOL SELF-LOADING .455 MARK I/1913". Fitted with a grip safety, serrated ring hammer, lanyard swivel and a pair of checkered grips. With a green felt lined hardwood case bearing a "F.R.S." initialed brass plate on the lid and containing the pistol, a wood handled screwdriver, seventeen loose rounds of 455 MkI ammunition, and three 7-round packages of ISAA inspected MkI ammo (two bearing 30/1/19 dates and "NOT FOR REVOLVERS" stamps).

Very fine, with 85% of the original blue finish, showing areas of mixed brown and gray patina, bright edge wear and mild spotting and handling marks overall. The grips are also very fine, with a few scuffs and dents. The case shows mild wear and dings. Mechanically excellent.
